JOHNSON COUNTY EARLY CHILDHOOD PROFILE

Johnson County Early Childhood Profile

The Indiana Early Learning Advisory Committee (ELAC) is monitoring key indicators to track Indiana’s progress on making early childhood education accessible, affordable and high-quality for children and families.

The ELAC Interactive Dashboard provides data specific to our community in four focus areas: Young Children & Families, Accessibility, High Quality, and Affordability.

In Johnson County, 64% young children under six need care and education while their parents work. Despite research supporting the value of quality early learning experiences, only 26% percent of Johnson County children who need care are enrolled in high-quality early education programs.
